Thankful

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend.  On Thursday we woke up to the door bell ringing.  Santa Claus sent one of his elves to stay with us.   We named the elf, Oliver - Ollie for short.  He flies back to the North Pole at night to report to Santa what he observed Jack and Bella doing that day.  Each morning he is in a different spot.  They are so excited to find him in the morning.   Here are some pictures of Jack and Bella opening up the box Ollie came in on Thanksgiving morning.

Then we went to Gigi's house for Thanksgiving.  Jack and Bella had a great time playing with Vinnie and Gabbie.  We also celebrated Vinnie 6th birthday.  Here are Jack and Bella with Vinnie getting ready to blow out the candles.

Thanksgiving afternoon we went to Dayton to celebrate with Grandpa and Grandma.  Jack and Bella loved playing with Barbie and Shum.  After they went to bed, I drove back to Columbus so I could go shopping on Black Friday while Aaron and the kids stayed in Dayton.  They had a great time with Grandpa and Grandma and I got some great deals!  They came home Friday night and when we woke up on Saturday morning we found Ollie sitting on the chalkboard.  He wrote Jack and Bella this letter...

So after we watched Ohio State beat Michigan (Go Bucks!) we set up the Christmas tree.  Here are some pictures of Santa's little helpers.

Since we had a busy holiday weekend, we took it easy on Sunday. Here are Jack and Bella watching a little TV together on the floor.

Sneak Peak

Today, Jack and Bella got their pictures taken for our Christmas card.  They were so well behaved and we got some really good pictures.  Here is a sneak peak of one of the photos...

So I need to start planning our annual Christmas card.  I am going to use Shutterfly again this year for our card.  We used them last year for our Christmas card, Storybook for the grandparents, and for Jack's first birthday invitations.  We were so pleased with all of their products.

I Feel Your Pain

I feel Bella's pain - literally.  I caught Bella's Herpes infection in my mouth.  It has been a very painful experience.  Now I know what the poor thing went through.  I am getting better, but I'm still not 100%.  I may break down and go to the dentist tomorrow to make sure everything is okay.  So that explains my hiatus from blogging....But enough about me. 

Bella is feeling all better now.  Look how sweet she looks in her new winter hat we got for her today.

Poor Baby!

I took Bella to her pediatrician yesterday because she still wasn't feeling better.  She has been waking up several times during the night, barely eating, and her gums are swollen and red and she has canker sores all in her mouth.  The doctor said that she has a herpes infection in her mouth.  Basically its the same infection that causes people to get cold sores on the outside of their mouths.  Since its a virus, there's not much that can be done for it - it has to run its course.  She prescribed her Tylenol with Codeine to help with the pain so she can drink fluids and stay hydrated.

She is so cranky and worn out most of the day.  Here she is at lunch today.  All she would eat was applesauce and they she feel asleep in her highchair.

Fortunately (and fingers crossed he stays that way!)  Jack isn't sick.  He kept saying today, "I wish we could help Bella with the sores in her mouth."  How sweet is that!?  When he saw me taking pictures of Bella after she had fallen asleep in the highchair he wanted me to take his picture.  Here he is pretending to fall asleep in his highchair.

Fresh Air

We were going a little stir crazy today because we had been staying home since Bella hasn't been feeling well.  So we went to the mall park to run off some energy.  Enjoy these pictures.

Do You Do Windows?

Jack's newest thing he likes to help Mommy with is vacuuming.  Here he is vacuuming all the food that fell on the floor after breakfast. He is going to make some woman very happy some day! :)

 No housework for Bella - she's taking it easy, trying to get all better.  Here she is resting with a book.
