Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

We received a nice surprise in the mail today.  Vicki, a friend of mine who I used to work with, sent Bella a birthday present.  It was the book The Tale of Peter Rabbit along with a rabbit stuffed animal.  Jack and Bella loved it!  Look at these pictures.

The Eyes Have It

This morning I wake up to find Bella has Pink Eye in both eyes now!  Currently me and both kids all  have Pink Eye and Jack has it for the second time in two weeks!  I took Bella to the pediatrician and they gave her drops and an oral antibiotic so hopefully every one's eyes should be clearing up soon.  While we were driving home from the doctor's office, Jack told me he felt sick and was going to "puke".  Next thing I know he vomited all over his car seat!  Needless to say, I am ready for all of us to start feeling better.  Here are some pictures of Jack and Bella in the bathtub tonight.  (The only time of the day when their eyes don't look gross from the Pink Eye!)

Snow in June

Since the heat index was 105 degrees today, we made snow cones and ate them on the deck.  At first, Jack and Bella weren't even goning to try them, but once they did they loved them!  Here are some pictures of them enjoying their tasty summer treat!

They Grow Up Too Fast!

We went to the pool again and while we were there I looked at Jack and Bella and thought to myself, "Who are these big kids?!  My kids can't be this big!"  Jack went down the slide at the pool for the first time and Bella walked to me across the cement!  Enjoy!

Pool Time

Today was a beautiful summer day so I thought it would be a good idea to go to the pool. Everyone else must have had the same idea - it was so crowded! Jack and Bella had an awesome time. Jack jumped into the pool about 100 times and Bella loved splashing in her float. My camera battery died while we were there so unfortunately I don't have any pictures, but I do have a cute story to share. I ran into a woman whose children I went to school with and she asked Jack what his name was. He replied, "Jack." Then he pointed to me and Bella and said, "This is Mommy and this is Bella. Daddy's at work." How cute that he introduced everyone! Such a gentleman!

Day With Daddy

Today we went to the Zoo with Daddy! He hadn't seen the new Polar Bear exhibit and Jack and Bella were excited to show him around. Enjoy the pictures from our day!

We still aren't feeling great today so we have just been laying low at home, getting healthly. We aren't doing anything exciting, just normal, everyday things.

Taking It Easy

We took it easy today and tried to rest up and get better. Here is a picture of Jack. His eyes are looking much better, but they are still bothering him. He keeps rubbing them and telling me that they are "sick". Even though he doesn't feel good, he keeps on smiling!

Little Miss Bella is feeling much better. She is my little wild child! When I took her tray off of her highchair to get her out, I turned around to find her like this.

She makes me so nervous!

She, however, thought is was hilarious!

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Sorry I haven't posted anything on the blog for the last few days. Things have been crazy in our house! We will start with "The Good" first. While we were in Dayton this weekend for Father's Day, Bella started walking a lot more!

And walking makes you sleepy! She feel asleep on the way home from Dayton.

Next, "The Bad". Jack and Bella still have the stomach flu which is still no fun! But to top it all off Jack's eye was getting really runny, red and swollen so I took him to the pediatrician on Friday. She said that is was a virus along with the stomach virus and said to get plenty of rest and fluids.

And finally, "The Ugly". On Saturday, while we were in Dayton, his eye got worse and the other eye started to get bad too. I decided to take him to Urgent Care. Sure enough, he has pink eye in both eyes! He has to get 2 drops in each eye twice a day. Poor guy!

So you can see understand why I haven't updated the blog in a few days! You forgive me, right? ;)

And It Continues...

The stomach flu continued at our house today. Bella seemed to be feeling better towards the end of the day, but at bedtime she cried and just wanted to be held. She did eat well at dinner tonight. Here a picture of her enjoying her dinner.

Jack, on the other hand, is still feeling pretty sick. He has a very little appetite. Here is a picture of him not feeling good at dinner.

Not Feeling So Hot

Today started out really well. We went to COSI and met our friends Jen, Cameron, Sam, and Gracen there to play.

Bella started getting sick at COSI. I won't get into the details, but lets just say she ruined her shorts! So we went home. I think she is still feeling sick from the vaccinations she had on Monday. She barely ate lunch or dinner. I think her stomach is hurting her. She took a 4 hour nap today and was so happy to go to bed tonight. Poor girl!

Jack had fun at COSI too. On the way home he kept telling me that he was sick. When we got home, he would barely eat any lunch either. Then he vomited all over his mixed vegetables. (That's one way to get out of eating them!) He took about 2. 5 hour nap and seemed better once he woke up.

Let's Take Ride In an Automobile

Today I so much stuff to do and one of those things was to go to the grocery store. Today I let Bella ride in the car of the grocery cart with Jack. They both loved it and only fought a little bit. Enjoy these pictures!

Doctor, Doctor - Give Me the News

Today Bella had her 12 month check up with Dr. Ricciardo.

Bella weighs 24 lbs. 1 oz. She is in the 75th percentile for weight.

Bella is 31 1/4 inches tall. She is in the 97th percentile for height.

She had to get two shots and her toe pricked to check her iron levels. She was less than pleased about this! Jack watched her while she got her shots. (He's totally be a doctor when he grows up. I hope they both are!)

Bella wasn't feeling good the rest of the day. She was pretty fussy, but she did take an almost 4 hour nap this afternoon. Hopefully she is feeling better tomorrow.

One year ago today my sweet baby Bella came into the world!

Dear Bella,

It just seems like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital. How are you already one year old!? You are the sweetest, funniest, wildest little girl in the world! I'm so happy to be your mommy. I love you so much. You are the best second born child a mother could ask for!
