Beautiful Day!

It was so beautiful outside today so we played at the park most of the morning.

But first, I made eggs for breakfast. Here is Bella getting caught with egg on her face - literally!

It was over 70 degrees outside today, so I broke out Jack and Bella's new shorts. Here's Bella posing at the park in her new outfit!

Let's Pretend!

Today we went to COSI and we played in the section in Kidspace were you can pretend. Jack and Bella had a great time cooking Mommy dinner, grocery shopping, being a doctor, and building towers. They both love COSI! I am grateful we have such wonderful places for children, like COSI, in our own "backyard"!

Thank You Easter Bunny!

Today we visited the Easter Bunny! Jack liked him a lot, but he likes anyone who gives him a sucker! :) Bella cried when he first picked her up and she kept turning around to look at him, as if to say, "Why is a giant rabbit holding me?!" Here's their picture.

And It Begins...

Aunt Shana called me the other day to tell me that Bella's birthday present was suppose to take 8 to 10 weeks to be delivered, but she received an email that it was already shipping this week. So her present would be getting to her early. Bella got the gift today - it is a polka dot chair with her name embroidered on it. They both thought the chair was pretty cool and they both wanted to sit in it. And then the fighting began...

They shoved....

...but each of them got a turn in the new chair!

Zoo Time

It was such a beautiful day today, so we decided to go to the zoo again. We had a great time. Jack walked most of the time while we were there and only rode in the stroller when we were leaving. It really wore him out - he took a 4 hour nap!

Bella has a new favorite animal, the Gibbon (a type of monkey). They were "talking" a lot and very loudly today. It was so loud that it scared Jack and he started to cry, but little Bella just watched them swing around. She loved them! Here are some pictures of Jack and Bella in the car on the ride home.

All Night Long!

Jack did very well in his big boy bed last night! He stayed in bed all night long!! I was so proud of him. I wanted to make sure that my lucky streak continued today at nap time, so my plan for this morning was to wear him out! :) Unfortunately it was raining today so we couldn't play outside. So first - we went to the grocery store.

Bella says, "Yay! We're going to the grocery store! I can finally eat!" :)

Jack loves to "drive" the car that is on the front of the shopping cart.

After the grocery store - we went to the mall to play at the "mall park" (as we call it). This mall park has a solar system theme. You can climb on the moon and planets, slide down a meteor, and even drive a spaceship.

My plan worked! Jack took a three-hour nap and stayed in bed the entire time! Let's hope he keeps this up.

OPPS!

Well - I messed up! There won't be any pictures in this post because I accidentally left my camera in Bella's room (which has all the pictures on it that I took today). And the number one rule in our house is, "Never wake a sleeping baby" so needless to say I won't be going in to get it! :) Jack is asleep right now in his big boy bed. We took the front side of the crib off and replaced it with a bed rail so he won't fall out of bed while he's sleeping. It was tough for him to fall asleep tonight, but he's asleep now and hopefully he stays that way all night!

Zoo and Escape!

Today Grandma and Grandpa were here to visit Jack and Bella. We decided to go to the zoo. Jack and Bella had a great time!

When we got home Jack took a nap. Before I knew it - I heard him crying while he is was walking down the stairs! He had crawled out of his crib! I put him back to bed and when he woke up from his nap, he crawled out of his crib AGAIN! Guess who's going to get a big boy bed? :)

Monkey See, Monkey Do

We went to the park again today, but this time Daddy was there with us! Jack wanted to show Daddy what a big boy he is so he decided to try the money bars.

Smile! You're on Candid Camera!

Jack woke up at 6:00 a.m. this morning and never fell back asleep. Needless to say, he wasn't in a great mood. We went to story time, like we do every Thursday, and let's just say he wasn't the model child! He wouldn't listen to the stories, kept walking around, didn't listen to Miss Karen (the librarian), etc., etc.! I kept trying to get him to sit down and listen but to no avail. As soon as I would start to correct him, Bella would start crawling out of the children's room of the library. I was certain that I was on an episode of "Candid Camera!"

After story time was over, we came home and had lunch. Guess what Jack did as soon as he sat down? You guessed it...

...he feel asleep!

Moral of the story - sleep deprived child = hot mess! :)

Bella was on the go all day today! So Mommy is ready to call it a night!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! I dressed Jack and Isabella in their best green today. Here are some pictures.

Its sad that this is the best picture I could get with the two of them together. Neither of them would sit still!

Isabella also had her 9-month-old check up today with Dr. Ricciardo. It was a pretty easy visit - no shots! Here are some pictures of Bella waiting to see the doctor.

Bella weighs 21 pounds and 4 ounces. She is in the 90th percentile for weight.

Bella is 30 inches tall. She is off the chart for height!

Dr. Ricciardo said that she is a healthy girl who is right on track with her development. I can't believe she is 9 months old already!
