Safety First!

Jack just completed a two-week Safety City class with his friend, Matthew.

Here he is on the first day of school.

He learned all about fire, gun, poison, stranger, water, electricity, traffic and bike safety.  He had a great time.  He had his graduation ceremony today.

The children performed the songs they learned.

They were also presented with Safety City certificates.

Jack was so proud after he received the certificate, he ran up to me and gave me a big hug.  He's the sweetest!

Here he is performing his songs at the graduation ceremony.

Vacation Bible School

Jack and Bella just completed their first Vacation Bible School.

Here they are sitting together on the first day.  As I dropped them off they were holding hands.  So sweet!

All week they read bible stories, made crafts and sang songs about Jesus.  On the last day they had a Family Night where the children could show their families what they had learned all week.

Here are Jack and Bella performing the songs they learned.

Bella belting it out! :)

Here is a video of one of their performances.  You can only see Bella for a little bit.  A boy stepped in front of her so it was hard for me to get her in the video.

Hot Fun in the Summertime

It has been a pretty steamy summer so far.

So hot that we have to cool off while playing in the driveway with a milkshake.

So hot that we have to play in the fountains at the Greene while visiting Grandma and Grandpa.

So hot that we have to cool off in the kiddie pool in the backyard.

Tall

Bella had her 3-year-old check up at the pediatrician just this past week.

Since she is a big girl now, she got to wear a paper gown at her check up.

Bella weighed 34.4 pounds.  She is in the 90th percentile for weight.

BElla is 39.5 inches tall.  She is in the 95th percentile for height.

When I recorded her height and weight in her baby book, I notice that ever since she was born, Bella has never fallen below the 95th percentile for height!  I wonder if she will always stay tall...

Happy 3rd Birthday Bella!

On Bella's third birthday, she woke up to presents at breakfast.

Then it was off to COSI to see the Big Machine exhibit and play at Little Kidspace.

Bella did it too!

Paging Dr. Bella

Teddy loves to sit at the big kid table.

Bella chose to go to her favorite restaurant, Bob Evans, for dinner.  After dinner we enjoyed her pink birthday cake.  It was the only thing she told me she wanted for her birthday.

And here we are signing, "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl!

Look whose hair is turning curly!  The same age I was when mine hair began to get curly.

Dear Bella,

I can't believe you are 3 years old!   Sometimes I feel like you were just born and other times I think you are going on 16 with some of the things you say to me! :)  You keep me on my toes, but you are also such a sweet girl.  I love it when I leave you - even if just for a short while - you greet me at the door with your sweet voice saying, "Mommy! Mommy! I missed you.  I love you so much!"  I love spending everyday with you.  You are the sunshine of my life!

Love,
Mommy

You Remind Me

At a recent Target visit, we found these Statue of Liberty hats in the dollar bins. I just had to take a picture of  Teddy in one.

Especially because he reminded me so much of Jack when he was his age at a similar Target run when I took almost the exact same picture!

What cute little baby boys!

How Big is Teddy?

Last month Teddy has his 15-month-old check up at the pediatrician.

Teddy weighed 28 pounds, 4 ounces.  He is in the 90th percentile for weight.

Teddy is 32.5 inches tall.  He is in the 75th percentile for height.

He had two vaccinations at his check-up.   He didn't cry with either one of them!
What a big boy!
